The Nigerian Lady & The Bouquet of Flowers

Okay. I'm supposed to have posted this on Vals day but I guess it still isn't a bad idea to view it even after the lovey dovey season.

Of what relevance is a bouquet of flowers to a Nigerian lady? Just watch this funny video and add your own comments.

  4. LMAO! I just forwarded this to my friends. The ladies make a good point: flowers wither away and you want your love to last a lifetime. Besides, flowers make me sneeze.

  5. lol-- my naija sistas are funny.
as for me, I loved getting flowers on my birthday and just because(thinking of you flowers), it also includes a box of chocolate and they are the kind that comes in a vase. different colored roses.(pretty)

As a matter of fact, ladies I work with(in America) love getting flowers at work.they can display it on their desk and every one can ooh and aah about how pretty they are. until they die.

No, i do not like to get flowers on valentine's day. Any other day but valentine's because I like surprises and valentine's day is so overated.

  12. Wow...this is such a coincidence. I was still discussing flowers with someone the other day and he had the same views. I love flowers. I always have. I was the envy of my colleagues when I got red roses delivered to me last Friday. I guess its a Western thing.

@Olowo...Come to think of it, don't some oyinbo peeps too have allergies? Some of them must hate flowers too!

  14. LOL!! What is up with the cake??? Will she eat the cake by herself?

Well, personally, I'll appreciate a bouquet of flowers. Why not??? It's Valentine's Day. What I wanna do on Valentine's Day is spend time with my darling and have a fun day. That's what I'd rather do.

  19. @Vera…hmmm. Seriously? Wow.

@Afrobabe…Ha! I was expecting this kind of reply from you! lol
@doug…I’m telling you. They hate vegetables.

@writefreak…man. It seems once naija women leave the country, their desires for flowers suddenly becomes…well, erm desirable?

@Standtall…Cynic. It wasn’t staged jo. Do I look like a person who would waste time going round staging stuff like this? Haba. You dint even notice that I caught many of them unawares. And what happened in my house on V-day is too graphic for this blog.
