Alaere Alaibe...Gone...Saddening

Her name is Alaere Alaibe.

45 years of age.

Married to NDDC chairman, Timi Alaibe for 20 years.

She's the Founder of the FREE Foundation which stands for Family Reorientation Education and Empowerment, an NGO that has touched the lives of many less priviledged people and given them hope for a new life.

Her NGO has won awards upon awards.

Also the owner of 'Pretty Woman' on Toyin Street, Ikeja, Lagos.

This beautiful and enigmatic woman who last year was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma (a form of cancer) is no more.

She died in her husbands arms singing her favourite song at a London hospital.

She'll be buried today.

...She's also a blogger. Check out her blog here

My guess is that she must have stopped blogging after being diagnosed of her illness.

Check her foundation's website here

So sad. Another good woman who has touched lives and positively affected others, gone just like that.

What shall we say?
To live our lives for things that would outlast it, and to be eternity conscious

What is so touching is the way she died, singing her favorite hymn in the hands of her husband. Things like this leave me without words to say. May she rest in peace...and may her legacy live on.

Oh no! It breaks my heart to see anyone who is doing good work pass away at such a young age. May God give strength to her family and loved ones who will miss her. This is so sad.

Guess she made a difference for all the peeps she spoke up for... Wish we all could say the same thing about our own lives too......

From all I've been reading about her, I begin to regret never meeting her.
And to think that she's really young and pretty...

Know her not but, her (good) works made it absolutely impossible for her to have been a stranger.

She is gone but, her (timeless) footprints she sure left in the sand of time.

Rest...

She was such a beautiful woman. I can only imagine what you all must feel. Before this post, I had not heard of her. But I am saddened by the loss of such a beautiful individual.

OMG!!!! I remember seeing a picture of this woman and her family in a magazine, several years ago, maybe like 8 or 9 years and thinking about how elegant and meek she looked!!! She was so beautiful and even from the picture oozed of some unusual simplicity. I just stumbled on this post and it was the name that got me! I couldnt have even thought that she has been dead for the past one-going-on two years! aw sad. I do hope and pray that her family is well and doing great things.
