Happy 100th Birthday to My Grandpa!

Yes! My one and only surviving grandpa just clocked a 100 years old on two days ago!

When my Mum called a month ago from the UK and told me to have a meet with my siblings and decide what we were gonna do for grandpa (who's also a great-grandpa to our kids - all my siblings, except the last born who isn't married yet have kids) since he was clocking 100 years,

I was like 'Mum are you for REAL?? Grandpa is now 100?' Boy! That's a century old! And the man is as fit as a fiddle....I tap into that longevity anointing.

Why I dey worry sef? It runs in the family - like my Dad who's seated next to Grandpa who would be clocking 70 this year and still drives himself, and moves and travels around a lot. When we walk side by side, I can't even keep up with him! Boy, I need to reduce my intake of pounded yam or something...lol.

I've not been blogging as I should thanks to many matters arising but I couldn't let this one pass by...oh I should have even posted it on Monday and today is wednesday...aaargh! Well, its the big 100 we're talking about here; even if I posted it next week its still a big deal...abi?

Happy Birthday once again and Many Happy returns to my awesome grandpa!

What to do & Where to go this Easter?

For many Nigerians, the Easter period marks a time of reflection, rest and celebration with family and friends. In Lagos, there is always a sense of both calm and chaos; although the roads are no longer full of traffic, music and laughter can be heard all across the city. This year is no exception, and Jovago has created a mini-guide to the upcoming Easter weekend to make sure that you and your loved ones make the most of the time together!

To do:

Lagos Easter Water Regatta
For a fun and cultural afternoon, we’d highly recommend a look at the Lagos Water Regatta on Easter Sunday. The Regatta is a cultural festival of indigenous communities and is put together to showcase what the various coastal communities have to offer in terms of water sport and cultural beauty. The event usually has a 50,000 strong turnout on the day, and the beautiful waterfront of Lagos Island seems like the perfect place to kick back for the afternoon.

The Lagos Carnival
The Lagos Carnival is an enormously popular event every year and this year promises to be even bigger and better. Starting on Easter Monday at 10am, you can either walk with the bands from Awolowo Road, Ikoyi to Tafawa Balewa Square or go directly to the square. Let yourself be dazzled by the colourful costumes and music, and bust out your best dance moves with the rest of the crowd. It’s guaranteed to have a great party atmosphere that’s perfect to share with friends.

To eat:

Senses Restaurant - Cascade Resort
For those in search of a slice of luxury this Easter weekend, look no further than Senses Restaurant within the Cascade Resort in Lagos. Star chef Luís Batalha works meticulously with his first-class team to deliver impeccable dishes that are a feast for the eyes and the stomach! This spectacular restaurant would make the perfect family meal this Easter, but make your reservations as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Ocean Basket Seafood Restaurant
If you are looking for something a little different, then Ocean Basket is a great destination on Victoria Island for a taste of the sea with friends and family. The menu offers a large range of platters to share or individual dishes, and is highly praised for the freshness of their ingredients. Upstairs is usually a little bit quieter, so it’s the ideal location for an easy-going weekend lunch.

To stay:
Best Western The Island

The Best Western The Island Hotel is a beautiful oceanfront hotel located in Victoria Island, Lagos and ideal for both business and leisure travellers. The Hotel would be the perfect place to spend your Easter break with your family as it features suites, ocean view rooms, free parking, high speed internet and airport shuttle services.

Morning Side Suites

Morning Side Suites is a charming boutique hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos. With a nice restaurant, swimming pool, bar, a lounge and a fitness room, this hotel would be the perfect home away from home this Easter.

These hotels and many more are available to book online at Jovago.com.ng - we wish you all a happy and peaceful Easter break.

My February Testimony....

Just 10.00pm on the dot last night, yours truly became a Dad for the third time with the arrival of a big bouncing baby boy. Unlike his elder siblings, Timi and A.Y who weighed 2.8kg and 3.5 kg respectively, this little dude weighed 4.5kg at birth. No wonder...that pregnancy belle was huge!

I was poised to snap the photo as he came out of his mother's womb but then I thought of it that some of you might be having lunch or dinner when you viewed this post so I decided not to...make una no begin puke at the raw sight of delivery.

But I did manage to snap him immediately he was brought out.

My baby boy...just fresh out of his mother's womb.

After being cleaned, oiled and put in a diaper.

Finally after he took his bath this morning.

Welcome little man!
This is probably one of the reasons why I have been erratic on the blog these past few days; yes, that's my excuse...I hope it is accepted.

I thank God for this unspeakable gift!
And to the Almighty God I say 'Thank you Lord for this unspeakable girft

The Art of Spanking Kids - The Yoruba Way

Growing up as a kid in Naija is one heck of an adventure - that is if you're not some spoiled rich brat who passes through life in Naija without Naija life passing through you. The best times I always have with my 5 other siblings whenever we meet, are the times when we recount our past experiences living together as kids in a Yoruba household.

The harsh life and struggle to survive may not only have brought out the best in most Yoruba kids but also sometimes the worst in our younger years. Getting spanked or smacked for an offence the Yoruba way is somewhat an undocumented culture.

It is the characteristics of the ranges of spankings or slaps our mothers give us through our growing years. Most ‘Ajepako’ (Naija pidgin lingo for ‘born without the silver spoon’) kids that ever lived in the ghetto would be familiar with these ranges of beatings meted out by our hard-core parents for any misdemeanor we committed. But don’t be surprised, some ‘Ajebutter’ (born with silver spoon) kids have equally gone through it too; probably due to their parents’ background.

Yoruba mums are known to produce the best range of slaps or beatings namely the Igbati, Ifoti, Igbaju, Igbarun, Iforun, Ifakun , Ibadi and Abara.

These slaps will make you think you were adopted.

They are meted out with precision. Our mothers are skilled marksmen in dishing them out. You receive the stinging justice when you least expect; sometimes it happens so fast you are caught off balance.

The Igbati is that stinging slap that will make you correct your wrong immediately. It is the corrective slap that serves as a physical ‘autocorrect’ to return your faulty senses to its default settings of a well behaved state

The beauty of Ifoti is that you will be inspired to instantly confess your sins on the spot. This one is most effective for making lying kids spit out the truth.

The Igbarun, Igbaju and Iforun will make you snitch on all those who committed the crime with you without hesitation. This was probably adopted by Naija Police to coerce criminals to snitch on their apprentices.

Iladi will make you pee in your pants! In fact I have a ‘testimony’ to a powerful Iladi that was given to a one-time schoolmate of mine. The beating was so hot; my guy literarily shat his pants.

Finally, Abara is the last and the worst...The best way to describe this one is that it will make you do all of the above at once!

No wonder foundations of home training for many Naija families are hard to destroy.
I’m a living example and a graduate of this spanking culture. And trust me; it wasn’t a piece of cake for me back then; especially with my Mum being an Air Force Military Officer.

A.Y. Joins Timi in School [Photos]

School's back in and the kids have all picked up their back-packs to storm the classrooms.
This Term, A.Y. resumes in Timi's School after concluding his days at the creche.

First we took the little fella for a haircut. He has this stubborn hair
which likes to stiffen up in curls even after combing or brushing through.
A.Y. has the hair type that would result into dreadlocks if uncombed for days.

And on the day he sports his new uniform,
he takes photos with Timi to mark a new begining.

These kids can pose! I didn't even tell them what to do.
All I just said was 'say cheese!'

Maybe I should include them in my models' list
when arranging a childrens' shoot sometime.
They're so natural in front of the camera...lol.

Are You Involved With The Right Person?

Someone sent this interesting and enlightening article to me by mail. Good stuff for both single and married folks to get a glimpse of. Read on....

By Bola Osareme

During one of our seminars, a woman asked a common question. She said, "How do I know if I married the right person?" I noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so I said, "It depends. Is that your husband?" In all seriousness, she answered "How do you know?"

Let me   answer this question because the chances are good that it's weighing on your mind. Here's the answer.

EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with your spouse. You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked their idiosyncrasies. Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard.Infact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called "falling" in love... Because it's happening TO YOU.

People in love sometimes say, "I was swept of my feet." Think about the imagery of that __expression.  It  implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU.

Falling is love is easy. It's a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts.

The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even   angry subsequent stage.

At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking , "Did I marry the right person?"  And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown. People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment.

Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work, a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances.

But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it. I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else. You could. And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later. Because (listen carefully to this):

THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND. SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER just happen to you. You can't "find" LASTING love. You have to "make" it day in and day out. That's why we have the __expression "the labor of love."

Because it takes time, effort, and energy . And most importantly, it takes WISDOM . You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work. Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage.

Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It's a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable... you can "make" love.

Love in marriage is indeed a "decision"... Not just a feeling .

I couldn't agree more!

What do you think?

Amazing Baby Swimmer [Video]

I've come to learn some amazing things about Babies...amazing stuff like their cries prompt their Mother's breast to start lactating milk, their bones are structured intricately to accommodate their passage through their Mother's birth canal into the world - like the skull being collapsible for the squeezing through during birth.

The most amazing thing for me is the ability of babies to swim in water without help and with ease. This is due to the fact that they lived in a similar manner in the womb surrounded by water (the one that breaks before delivery). Babies find it easy to respire inside water or control their breathing.

Thus its not a bad idea to introduce your child to swimming at an early age. I wanted so much to introduce my kids to this but Wifey happened to be just too traditional and didn't want any of it. I'm an avid lover of swimming and would have loved my kids to have followed suit. I'm sure they'd probably end up like this amazing baby girl in this video; she swims with ease and without assistance. I can't even determine what kind of swim stroke she's using. She just wades through the water kicking her chubby legs and synchronizing with the water. And she does a smooth job of even holding her breath for so long! You'd think she was specially taught but that's not really the case - she was just introduced to swimming very early.

Its just amazing watching her swim and she even seems to know when to pop up her head once she reaches the edge of the pool. You could even hear the parent in the background expressing his surprise at how deftly she moved across the pool while holding her breath. This is a pointer that the baby wasn't taught but re-acquired the skill once she came in contact with the water,

Timi Got Scribbling Skills

Yep. I was surprised. She won an award badge for the best handwriting in class. I guess all that wanting to scribble something somewhere paid off; you can see evidences of Timi's graphiti skills on our walls, the deep freezer, on some of my books, on tissue rolls...

I usually get pissed at her scribblings all over the place. I guess it was a cool handwriting on its way to become a reality...lol! Congrats to my baby girl.

When God avenges his own - The Kidnapping & Rescue of Praise Eleng.

Eleng with Praise and Glory years back

On April 2011, an easter Sunday, 2 year old Praise Eleng, daughter of Samuel and Favour Eleng, twin sister of Glory, went missing in Church from the Children’s Church department of Winners Chapel.
This marked the beginning of all sorts of troubles for the Church. It was a trying time for the Pastorate and Bishop David Oyedepo with all the police involvement, arraigning of teachers who were in charge and all kinds of news carried by the press. The Bishop had remarked to Mr. Eleng, “Be prayerful, the Lord will strengthen you and your child will be found.”

It was surely going to be a mighty test of faith and it wasn’t going to be easy for the Elengs.
Two years later, after going public numerous times and registering his pains over his missing child and the church putting all efforts out to look for her, the miraculous happened.

Praise, now four years old was found!

When I heard the testimony recounted live in service yesterday, I began to wonder if people would grasp the fact that God had proven the fact that he backs his word and fights for his children. The testimony of how Praise was found and brought back is unlike any other tale of someone being kidnapped and released later on by Kidnappers.

Apparently Praise had been kidnapped by a man who had sold her to a woman far in either Enugu or kano (I haven’t fully confirmed that yet due to conflicting reports).

Not long after he had kidnapped the girl, the kidnapper was struck with a strange illness which resulted in his legs becoming badly swollen. He also lost his sight and became blind. The car that he had purchased with proceeds from the kidnapping also got stolen. Then he was also constantly plagued with nightmares of Bishop Oyedepo pursuing him with a flaming sword.

Eventually he could take it no more. He was on the brink of death by the illness and constant nightmares and begged his wife to take him to Winners Chapel where he confessed his crime.
When asked where the child was he said he still had the contact and could help locate where she was. Thus Praise was found rescued and brought back home.

The kidnapper's confession was captured on a video recording. I'll upload it along with the Elengs testifying of the miracle in church once I'm able to get a copy of it.

This is not the first time criminally minded people would venture into the church and commit such dastardly acts. Years back there had also been the case of robbers who attacked Winners Chapel members coming back from church and taken their cars. Within 24 hours, the cars were recovered and the robbers died one after the other.

This is a testimony to the fact that it is a dangerous thing to toy with God’s own people, especially the ones that a divine proclamation has gone out upon them. The stories of strange acts of divine rescues and deliverances are numerous.

But that will be another story.

For now, its just a moment to thank God for the miracle of rescuing little Praise Eleng.

Today Means Something to Me...

It's the day I was born! It's my birthday today!

Me at 1 year old.

Happy Birthday and many happy returns to an awesome me!

What? you don't think I'm awesome? well some people think I am...Almighty God and my sweet family, nuclear and partially extended.

A.Y.

People say A.Y and I bear striking resemblance as babies.
Is it true?

Tribute to My Little Genius [Photos]

You're probably wondering what this post is all about and for most who are not familiar with the face of the little man in the photo, that's A.Y. Yes, that's my little dude whom I call 'The Little Genius', 'Okunrin Meta', 'Ekun Wewe' and 'Baba Kekere'. I gave him these knicknames for certain reasons.

I call him 'Little Genius' because he's fond of finding solutions to problems by himself; he dislikes being seen as helpless. He even refused to be helped when he tried taking his first steps.

I call him 'Okunrin Meta' (Three times a man) or 'Ekun Wewe' (Small Lion) because he's got guts, does what his sister can't dare, loves to explore everything and takes being serious seriously.

I call him 'Baba Kekere' because he's got this baby swag which makes him look 'elderly' when he walks. When he puts on native its further amplified! One of our friends saw him walking that way and said he walks like a 'Landlord'. I initially wondered if landlords had a certain swag but later understood that he was referring to the way he walks - like someone with power and wisdom.

Today is a special day because it marks the day A.Y was born and I'm so proud to be a Dad to the little dude. He has such an independent mind like mine, a load of expressions like his granddad and is said to strut like his great-granddad.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY A.Y.!

MANY BLESSED RETURNS AS YOU STRIKE TWO YEARS OLD!

Two Awards for Timi

Congrats to my little Angel who got two awards in her class at school for Good behavior and for Science. Apparently the seeds of parenting are paying off. Like I did the last time, I let her know how proud I am of her for winning these cute honors. Its important we compliment our kids when they do good things. Never underestimate these young 'uns. They understand what it really is about.

Not only do I compliment Timi and congratulate or applaud her, I also do a small photo session for her and then do a post entry for her on my blog. One day when she's older, she'll be reading this page to appreciate how much she's loved. So let's go ahead and honor our kids (if you have any or when you do), its a seed worth sowing into their lives.

This is far better than turning my kid into some baby strumpet on charades like Toddlers and Tiaras.

Congrats again baby girl!

The Abuse of The Next Generation

The Terrified Toddler being tattooed.

I was on Myne Whitman's blog today when I came across this piece she wrote yesterday about a video on youtube which shows a Mom holding down her reluctant toddler as he got tattooed by some tattoo artist.

The sight enraged me.

For goodness sake...a tattoo? Of what value is that going to add to the child's life? Is this brutal branding really necessary?

I was gonna write about something else for today's entry but I just had to vent on this.

Why are people doing crap like this to children? It goes on to show that there's a generation of downright stupid accidental parents out there busy failing at their responsibilities by robbing little kids of their innocence.

The other day I was generally surfing searching for info and came across this African American toddler with conrows, carrying a water rifle like he was getting ready to bust a cap in someone, swearing and spitting out F-words like he was born with it.

Riley from 'The Boodndocks'

The video was tagged 'Real Life Riley Freeman' (A character from the Boondocks cartoon series). This little guy has totally been denied of his childhood by some idiotic gangster  parent with no conscience...or rather just plain ignorant.

And while we wonder at these parenting fails, one of the greatest would be the sexualisation and exploitation of childhood innocence by that abomination of a show called 'Toddlers and Tiaras'. These little children may never know the simplicity of innocent childhood. All has been selfishly hijacked and selfishly manipulated by possessed adults and the glitz and glamour of an evil showbiz venture.

A mother is shown forcing her screaming and trembling 5-year-old
to get her eyebrows waxed  in  the 5th season of the show.
Looks a lot like the first picture above.

According to a wikipedia report, one mother on the show was criticized for padding her daughter's chest to resemble Dolly Parton's and another was criticized for asking her daughter to smoke fake cigarettes on stage!

Yep. That's a frigging 4 year old with a padded chest!

And she smokes a fake ciggy to add finesse.

A shameless mom dressed her daughter on the show
as Julia Roberts' prostitute character in 'Pretty woman'!

Kids just wanna be kids. They just wanna play...like other kids!

I've always seen child beauty pageants as nothing but a peddling of children's sexuality for budding pedophiles and a desecration of the precious gifts of life God has placed in our hands.

Children have a stage in their lives. Its called childhood. Its the stage when they do all the things children love to do. Why must we microve their future and start getting them to do adult things? Are you parents that do that insane?

Look at the clothes some of our children wear today. I presume they were designed by people who hate the family unit and want to destroy children by all means. I was alarmed during Timi's christmas party at her school when the DJ started playing a mix of songs and I suddenly heard W4's 'La Tan' (Open your laps). I challenged the organizers and they changed it instantly. Some people will think and say its just music and that they (the kids) won't understand. I'm sorry but that would be the most retarded thing anybody that calls himself a good parent would say.I'm sorry but music is more than just 'tunes and vibes' to dance to.

Music is a WEAPON OF MASS SEDUCTION.

If you don't understand what that is, research on it or check out my post on the strange power of music and know the extent of the damage that's taking place.

Timi after recently loosening her hair.

I have a lovely daughter, Timi, and its cute to see her run about playing kiddy games and being the three year old she was meant to be, not being forced to grow up. I know if she was excessively made up, she'd be stunning but I know she'd also look creepy because its not the right thing to be doing to a child of her age.

I just had to vent.

The Missing Bliss in Today's Marriages

It seems marriage has become a child's play nowadays. Today its becoming a normal thing for couples who believe they can't get along to call it quits. Many reports say they split amiably or over irreconcilable differences. These and a lot of other funny reasons are played up as the reason for heading to splitsville.

All I can say is that too many immature-minded people seem to be heading for the altar nowadays. Also, many people tend to build their marriages on the wrong foundation. This is one of the major reasons for many failing marriages.

One thing I've come to understand over time is that anything that will come out good will have to undergo the test of time. It is how you fare under these tests that will determine how solid the foundation of your marriage is and thus whether it will last or crumble.

The test can occur from many angles and through various factors. I won't list the factors because I know different factors can be peculiar to different marriages. But I can share a few of my own.
I know that my loyalty to my wife is always tested by one particular factor which is the temptations one faces at work.

Sure, work place temptation is one factor that is peculiar to everybody (with all the infidelity and scandals happening in offices) but in this case, the temptations at my work place are somewhat amplified because I handle tasks that require dealing with beautiful models...and God help me if I end up meeting a desperate one.

Despite this, I have remained true to my marriage simply because of the foundation it is built on. Everyone has their own preferred type of foundation for their marriage. All that matters is if your foundation can hold strong enough for everlasting marital bliss.

We should never forget that marriages always need re-invention to keep the bliss going. If your marriage ends up being a boring co-habitation with a partner, then it's the fault of both of you. You need to do things that will keep sparking up the flame that keeps the relationship vibrant. There may be days when you are down but you never stay down forever, you get up and do something about it. And that's because you are both responsible to yourselves.

I came across this beautiful and touching video online which is an adaptation of a popular story that has been circulating the internet for a very long time. The story borders on the danger of not being responsible to your marriage and to your spouse.

After watching this heart rendering video, I couldn't resist dropping the following words on twitter:

Apparently, Wifey saw the tweet and was blushing when I got home, she was heavily flattered. She cooked extraordinary good food for me that night. The things good and sincere words can do to a woman!

I won't go into details of things you can do to ignite your relationship; that's for you to figure out since every relationship is peculiar; what may work for Couple A may not work for Couple B. After seeing the above video you should be able to decide what you can do to ignite the love and fun in your marriage.

Trust me, this video is worth the watch.

The Proposal - Starring Vera & Seun

I've seen a lot of movies where you come to that scenario where the guy is about to propose when the lady least expects it. She's suddenly caught unawares and bursts into tears of joy as the man brings out the ring and she finally realizes what's going on.

Yes. That's what happens in the movies...but it also happens in real life.

Vera & Seun
Recently, a fellow blogger, Verastic, got engaged to the man of her dreams (I know he's the man of her dreams because of the way she blogs about him on her site) in a way that looks like a romantic movie scenario come to life on the 2nd of December. I'll give it up to Olu Adewunmi of Lynksdrivers, he did a good job of catching the whole show on video in such a way that it almost looked like a movie was unfolding. The music choice was so apt I could almost imagine it was Seun, Vera's fiance that was rapping with Vera doing the singing...oh, it was M.I.'s 'Whether na 1 Naira'. I must say, I didn't realize how good that song really was until I heard it in this video...the power of strong visuals shey.

Congratulations Vera on your engagement; it's not that easy finding someone who you can spend the rest of your life with but you did the right thing when you saw that this guy was one, you held onto him till he couldn't resist the urge to spend the rest of his life with you. Many women have met the right man but still passed them by, thank God yours was not the case.

I just went through the year timelines on my blog and realized that I've known Vera online for 5 years via her blog. She's managed to stay online when many other bloggers have given up on blogging and also maintained her periodic online radio show. I remember I once did a review on her blog before she moved it from blogger to Wordpress. Click here to view the review. She really did improve on the blog after the review.

Watching Vera's proposal video was interesting because it had a play on Vera's friends (she happens to have matured and descent folk around her) and I took time to do a commentary on some her friends from what they said or how they acted in the video...lol...this is beginning to look like a movie. Here goes...

This lady obviously loves Vera with a passion. She sounds like the type of friend who prays with you and for  you when you're going through trying times; a friend that's eager to see you settle down with the right man. You can see her excitement that Vera finally made the first step into matrimony.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is another person that cares about Vera and is excited about them all being in the same club of people who have committed to one man for life. She is able to relate very well with what's going on because she was once single but now mingled. She sounds like one who has been a watchdog friend on Vera's status. Her man just smiles, sort of blushes and says nothing. Sweet couple.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This one is a no-nonsense lady. She made an emphatic statement that shows she's a woman that's very protective of her man - "Congrats! Now you have your own man, you need to stop texting mine." Hey, she's not wrong, in fact she sounds like my own wife!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She's happy for them and seems to be really close to the couple
with the way she excitedly blows that kiss and says "Love you guys!"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He's the well spoken analytical friend who analysed the event. He cuts the picture of someone who'd be a good speaker before a listening audience. He had so much to say but I guess there was limited time. He'd make a good spin doctor or a damage control specialist.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is probably the most touching scene for me. This friend actually prays for the couple; she goes the spiritual route which I believe is what every couple needs - God's covering over their relationship. And from the way she delivers it, you can sense that she means it from the depth of her heart.
