R.I.P - Beautiful Faces of The Dana Air Crash

I was at home yesterday, babysitting the kids when I got the call from Ben, a friend.
A plane had crashed into my parent's neighborhood three bus stops away from our family home.
So saddening.
I give glory to God though because my baby brother was planning to come home from Abuja by Dana Air. He's changed his mind now and decided to go by road.

Since all over the net the news is no longer news, I don't need to talk about what happened. But I went round trying to find out who and who was on that ill fated plane. These pictures I came across drew tears to my eyes...such promising faces...lives cut short by the tragedy...generations wiped out in an instant...

May we never see such again. Here they are...

The rich pple on that plane didn't know it would be their last. The sexy babes didn't know it was their last as they posed for pictures & paste it on their DP & FB walls.
The ones who were fortunate to board a plane for d first time in their lives didn't know it would b their first & d last time.
Where is that guy thinking of how 2make ends meet?
Where is that babe who wants 2get married soon?
Where are the singles who are worried about tying the knots?
Where are the men whose thought is on how to return to work tomorrow & sign dat contracts that would fetch them millions? Where are those ones who owns houses in Abuja? Where are those who took a girlfriend 2 Abuja to enjoy the weekend leaving their wives at home with d kids? Where are those who were in Abuja for flings with their sugar daddies or sugar mummies? And what about the innocent infants & children? What about those in their homes on a Sunday afternoon after d church service, spending time with their families, already ironed their clothes for tomorrow's work or school?
What about that girl or boy who went to their
neighbors house to watch films? What about those people that left for church & were bombed?
What I'm saying here is this! It could have been you or I. Life is vanity!!
Live your today like there's no tomorrow.
Love, forgive, share & appreciate one another b4 its too late! And have a personal relationship with GOD. Nothing in this life is worth dying for. Am yet to see that man who knows tomorrow. Pls embrace GOD now if u av not done so,even as u are about to step out now. May d souls of d deceased continue to Rest in d bosom of d Lord.
Merciful GOD, Please Have Mercy! oh Lord!!

Tears well up in my eyes as i write.. There r no words to console the families of d deceased. May God give u all d fortitude to bear this loss. In addition, there should be a thorough probe and investigation on every nigerian airline to check n take out any aircraft beyond a certain age and others that r just worn out. The maintaince of aircrafts should also be d major priority of aviation. ONE LIFE is TOO COSTLY to PAY for d blunder and oversight of these airlines n the authorities of this country.

Dana Air mishap was man made and I strongly advocate that the management of Dana air should be persecuted for premeditated murder along side the staffs of the aviation industry that cleared that plane. If people aren't found guilty it becomes obvious that we have a failed government. The time to Occupy Nigerian is now.

Horlans said...

God u are d author of everything. U know y these horrible things happened to us in Nigeria. Punish everyone that are responsible in letting this plane crashed and killed our people. The owners of d DANA plane knows precisely that d plane was not in other and still choose to used it that way, so they must not go unpunish.

What pains me the most is the level of corruption in our nation. It is sooo pathetic. I pray God wipes out all the evil doers and bring men and women that would make things work so our nation can be great again. God bless Nigeria!!!

Dana air or what ever they call them selves with there ill fitted muoluwe evil equipments should please pack all and leave this county back to there God forsaken where ever they came from, to the federal body, it's high time we sit up and be sincere to ourselves, how can we allow incompitent hands to man some very sensitive positions in this Country all in the name of politics and settlements to there God knows who, just like in the banking sector today, e.g{Minister for aviation and some directors of banks/oil sector} is it now we lost our beloved once that she knew the Jankara plane was up to 22 years? How can such thing be happening at this time? But can we actually learn from this. Our president should better harden up and start taking decisive decisions and never allow all our port belled political gurus to be playing this country like poker. Thank you

So sad, I wonder where we are heading to in this country cos obviously from What was said during broadcast on NTA news yesterday, our leaders are only bothered cos some prominent people were involved. I have always been bothered with some of Dana's aircraft each time I boarded. It was either something was leaking or we ran past the runway or the nose emanating from the plane was rather loud and deafning.I remember my last trip back to Abuja on a Dana flight dat was delayed for 1hr 20mins. I was on dat flight with my only son, my husband's niece and my son's nanny. On several occassions I was on the plane with either 1 or 2 of my family members. Really sad, I feel for the family members of the passengers on board. My husband was big fan of Dana Airways, he would always say Dana and other airlines and always insisted we boarded Dana when travelling. He was actually waiting @ the airport for dat plane to land for him to board and be on his way to Abuja where we reside, don't want to imagine what could have happened if dat plane had landed and he had gone on board. Sad, sad, sad it is dat our leaders are not bothered about the masses dat were majority dan the minority prominent ones.

Now I feel like crying all over again. Everyone was affected by this incident one way or another. I lost an old class mate to the crash and a number of persons I have met or had an encounter with. Even if your brother, sister, friend, relation or close family member was not involved, you will surely know someone that knows someone who was affected. Let's not relent in praying for Nigeria that this kind of tragedy will never happen again.
