R.I.P - Beautiful Faces of The Dana Air Crash

I was at home yesterday, babysitting the kids when I got the call from Ben, a friend.
A plane had crashed into my parent's neighborhood three bus stops away from our family home.
So saddening.
I give glory to God though because my baby brother was planning to come home from Abuja by Dana Air. He's changed his mind now and decided to go by road.

Since all over the net the news is no longer news, I don't need to talk about what happened. But I went round trying to find out who and who was on that ill fated plane. These pictures I came across drew tears to my eyes...such promising faces...lives cut short by the tragedy...generations wiped out in an instant...

May we never see such again. Here they are...

This is just disastrous. As I heard of the news, we rushed to the home of one of the victims. We were there as the news was confirmed as there were 2 Dana airlines that she could have been on. I could not even stand to see the look on her mothers face as it was confirmed. Call me a coward but I had to sneak back home without seeing her as I have two kids and did not want to imagine what it felt to have such news broken to me. It was painful. Inna Kalthum, and everyone that lost their lives on that ill-fated crash, Allah yayi muku rahama.

It was a sad day for anyone who has value for human life. Just this year alone we have had already too many blood shed! Now apart from the issue of senseless blood shed, this huge disaster befall our beloved nation. We are already passing through a serious insecurity challenge that has been claiming a lot of lives and now we got hit so hard by this very sad occurrence. If what I hear about the poor state of the aircraft is true then someone has to take blame for this unecessary lost of lives. I do follow a few episode of a documentary on The National Geographic Channel, Air Crash investigation. Hmmmnnn... If what I watched in an episode of this documentary is true then those who are in charge and in operation of the aviation sector must take extreme caution especially what goes on in the hanger. I pray God comfort us all and never let this affliction rise again. All will be well.

My heart bleeds. An entire family wiped out. What a calamity. May their souls rest in Peace!!!

God of faithfulness, in Your wisdom You have called these our fellow Nigerians out of this world; release them from the bonds of sin, and welcome them into Your Presence, so that they may enjoy eternal light and peace and be raised up in glory with all Your saints.
For the death of these Nigerian recalls our human condition and the brevity of our lives on earth. But for those who believe in Your love, death is not the end, nor does it destroy the bonds that You forge in our lives. We share the faith of Your Son's disciples and the hope of the children of God. Bring the light of Christ's resurrection to this time of testing and pain as we pray for them and for those who love them,
Lord, as we mourn the sudden death of these Nigerians, show us the immense power of Your goodness and strengthen our belief that they have entered into Your Presence. Lord our God, You are always faithful and quick to show mercy. these plane crash has suddenly taken from us Great Nigerians. Come swiftly to them aid, have mercy on them, and comfort thier family and friends by the power and protection of the cross. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

I don't know what each of you will do today, but now is the time 2 tell those u love that you really love them as we loved the victims of the ill faithed DANA airline & they live in our hearts still. i read something once "to live in the hearts of those we leave behind is not to die". Some of the best among us are gone little wonder why they say GOD takes only the best. Death is d most painful part of life you can't have one without the other. so we live while we can, love while we can, laugh while we can cos he doesn't tell us when he will call us. rest in th LORD my all you beautiful souls. your memories are all we have now & we promise it will be with us forever adieu mates till we meet 2 part no more.

Thanks Doyin for offering to send the pictures.

However, you may scroll down to the end of this page and use the 'Upload' button there to add as many pictures as you can - as long as you have confirmed that they actually flew in that plane.

Thanks.

What a world & a Country called Nigeria, where our constitution & those to enforce laws to better the lifes & protect its citizens are not worthy of the call. My heart goes out to families & friends of the ill fated DANA AIR that crashed in Lagos, ALLIED AIR that crash landed in Ghana & series of BOMBINGS in Nigeria. God the comforter, comfort you & grant you the Grace & Heart to carry on. R.I.P to the fallings

Looking at these pictures brings up pains and sorrow in my heart all over again. I am a Christian; and while I accept that "in everything we should give thanks" to God, I also know that the Holy Book says that "though hands join in hands, the wicked shall not go unpunished". I wholeheartedly believe that the good Lord Himself will want judgement to begin from this world on all the villains responsible for this evil - both staff/Management of the airline and the relevant regulatory institution.

May the merciful Lord give the bereaved ample grace and fortitude to bear this tragedy...just imagine those adorable children that died without knowing what was happening to them! Some of those children are about the ages of my own children...

God is this a punishments or a plague?: if you don’t know any of the victims directly, you will come across a dear person, who happen to have either brothers, sisters, cousins, mother, father, neighborhood or colleague crying for their lost one and at this point you are also involved because pains and agony of the people involved is also going through your veins.
,"la llorona" in the Spanish language means a woman who cries...a lot, A woman mourns in painful sorrow and grieves the loss of a son and a country is referred to as HER, we have cry too much this year as a nation for our love ones.
God this burden is too heavy for us, just like the David said Lord have mercy upon us according to your loving kindness.
RIP

May there soul R.I.P,why don't we pulse a bit and ask our self this question what of if is me where will i be now? I believe this is a lesson for us all that at any time we can die.as we see both children that know nothing were there.people keep saying when is rapture go to come but i tell u their rapture as come he could be YOU it could be ME.No amount of prayer can change their faith now.The bible say after death is judgement, why wont we make our way right now while we have the Chance next second may be to late.GOD is giving us a chance to repent we are not better those in that plane it is only grace that is keeping us

Ola In Rotterdam Holland,

Negligence did not allow us to do what is right in Nigeria.(Guys read the plane history the crash)
It is time the proclaim men of God we have in Nigeria goes on their knees and beg God to revoke any cause he has plunge upon us for forgiveness because it seems the worse is yet to come.

During creation God said let there be light and there was light purpose of that is for peace and development. We are in darkness in Nigeria. Without that light we will continue to expect worse things in Nigeria

Let not the innocent suffer the cause of the bad eggs. Enough is enough.Boko Haram,Kidnapping, Rituals, political thuggery ,excess corruption and power consciousness.

May the soul of all people involve in the plane disaster rest in the Lord.
