They are everywhere.

They are ready to pounce and exact jungle justice for any petty crime of which they are capable of doing worse.

They are opportunists, fake sympathizers, perverts and thieves in disguise.

And they usually enjoy the overrated excuse that they are a product of the poverty-stricken situation of the country.

They are the Brainless Aluu-minded people.

I call them ‘brainless’ because they are an insult to humanity, choosing to not to use their brains but degrade themselves to animalistic tendencies. I’ve always disagreed with those scientists that made the assertion that humans are ‘higher animals’ because I felt it was a debasement of God’s intelligent creation but in this case I think I agree that some humans are just animals…their possession of a brain is a waste and an insult to mankind. There are better things to use a brain for than to attack or molest your fellow human being.

I call them ‘Aluu-Minded’ with the allusion to the Aluu people who heartlessly killed four UniPort students in the most brutal manner. The Aluu mentally determines that jungle justice be meted to anybody who is suspected or accused of a crime (notice that I said ‘suspected’ or ‘accused’ and not ‘convicted’) without any standing proof, even when the suspect’s profile does not in any way look like a criminal.

Not long after the Aluu killings, a video circulated the web on a girl who was said to have been caught at some shopping mall for stealing God-knows-what.  Though there was nothing to prove that this actually happened in Nigeria, you could see clearly that the Brainless Aluu-minded spirit doth rested upon these shameless infidels; they assaulted the girl by stripping her naked and shoving stuff into her private part.

Then I read of the nasty incident that happened to Sugabelly on a night out with friends. Their driver had accidentally hit a taxi while reversing and ruined part of the cab. They had hurried over to access the situation but then a mob began to gather shouting at them and raising a ruckus as if they had just killed someone. Sugabelly and her friends had to hide in the car which the mob began to attack and push against. It took police intervention to quell the situation. They had to drive away from the scenario with the cops and taxi driver to settle the issue elsewhere. Thank goodness the police did not run this time.

It was an event that was just unwarranted.

In the words of Sugabelly, "How the *bleep* did this happen? I came to buy shawarma. How did I get from shawarma to this?"

Brainless Aluu-minded people have been around for a long time. It’s just that after the Aluu incident, a proper nomenclature could now be ascribed to them.

See how badly a name could be spoilt.

I’m so glad I’m not from that region. Imagine someone asking you which state, local government or hometown you’re from…and you say Rivers State, Aluu local government….boy, you’re finished be that!

Movie on Aluu Killings in The Making?

Trust Idumota marketers to cash in on the opportunity to make a movie out of anything that's either trending or making news. Reports gathered are that Simony Productions, the Idumota marketers who brought you the movie 'Blackberry Babes' are out to make a movie based on the four Uniport students that were killed by Aluu residents in Port Harcourt.

Many Nigerians have actually been condemning the development; the fact that a tragic incident that happened in October was already being scripted into a movie only just two months after the incident. Another aspect that would be violated is the unsought consent of the families of the deceased students.

Meanwhile another report says that the producer is condemning the fact that people are quick to conclude that his movie is about the Aluu killings. He is said to claim that it is not about the Aluu 4 and that people should wait to see the movie first.

Well, that's what the producer is reported to be saying but seriously, if we look at the pictures from the location shoot above, are they not enough to tempt us to ask the following questions? 

1. Isn't the fact that the beaten-up characters are four in number a striking coincidence?
2. Don't their attackers look like some sort of uniformed a vigilante group? (The real killers were vigilante)
3. Why have they've all been stripped of their clothing and huddled together looking hopeless and similar?
4. Why is it that looking at the pix alone the thought that comes to one's mind is 'Aluu'?

I guess time will tell. Until we see what this movie is really about (if there really is such a movie in the making!), we can't nail the producers for shooting a movie on an incident that's still very fresh in our minds. But if the movie has nothing to do with the Aluu 4 or is just having a scene that is a coincidence, then I'll say they did make a big mistake making it look too familiar.

Thanks to the internet, social media, the use of phones and cameras, we can attempt to expose culprits behind the dastardly act of the killings of the four UNIPORT students, Lloyd, Chidiaka, Tekena and Ugonna.

Currently, the media is abuzz with photos of individuals whose faces were caught on camera at the scene. A still photo of the man who actually lit the match that set the boys ablaze was equally captured and is being circulated online.

However, in the midst of attempting to circulate photos of the killers, some photos which have nothing to do with the Aluu killings are being passed off as photos of the killers being caught. The following pictures below are being wrongly paraded as the army arresting a suspect. The photos have nothing to do with the Aluu incident.

 

If you look closely at the photos, you'll notice that the half-stripped guy and the camouflaged men are actually laughing. It's more of a celebration than an arrest. Maybe its the half-naked dude's birthday as he seems to have been drenched in water that may have been poured on him to celebrate. It's not even certain if the men in Camouflage are really from the army - none of them is carrying a weapon.

 

 

The photo above is also another fake being paraded as Soldiers arresting suspects. The photo is actually a very old pix that was dug up from the internet by some mischievious individuals.

Just saw this on the news a few minutes ago. The 13 suspects connected with the death of the four Uniport undergraduates are seen here being paraded by the police.

Channels TV carried the news this evening. The dude in red and white shirt was questioned in the report. The video should probably be up on Channels youtube station by tomorrow.

The suspects are: Ozioma Abajuo 23 years, Chigozie Evans Samuel 22 years, Endurance Edet, 27 years, Uwem Sampson Akpabio 30 years, David Chinasa Ugbaje 30 years, Cynthia Chinwo 24-year-old female, Lawal Segun 28years, Lucky Orji 43 years, Ekpe Daniel 30 years, George Nwadei 30 years, Gabriel Oche 33 years and the Aluu Community Chief, Alhaji Hassan Welewa.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This picture of one of the Uniport students holding up a placard during the protest on the Aluu Murders says quite a lot and casts a shadow of likely retribution on the community.

I would have written something on this sad story of 4 students being bludgeoned and burnt to death for either stealing laptops and phones or being cultists (whichever the crime was) but I was just too horrified after seeing the video of these young men who could have been anybody’s erring kids being sent to their deaths by a irate mob of Aluu indigenes in Rivers State.

One person who calls himself a human being literarily beat them to death as though they were animals! I wonder…does he have children? Who made him the master executioner?

 

 

And he had the stomach to set a fellow human being on fire!

 

Is life this meaningless in Nigeria?

 

We’re not even very sure of the crime they said they committed or what they stood for…so why were the people so eager to kill?

 

How are you who is casting the stone against these men any better and in the position to judge their fate?

 

I watched the video and was so disturbed for the next few minutes when I saw the mindless killing of these young men. Presently, the video has been yanked off youtube due to its horrific content. Thank goodness for that.

 

Though there is claim that an arrest has been made of the community traditional ruler, I’m also hearing that there may be a plot afoot to revenge on the indigenes of the community that killed these boys. I don’t know how true that is, but if it is, then we are on the verge of another communal crisis.

 

May God help us in this Nation!

                                                                                                                                    

 

Getting flogged 24 Strokes for illegal 'Straffing' [Photo]

Somewhere within the Low cost Housing, Abaganaram ward, Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria, a man simply identified as Mallam Sanusi was given 24 strokes of cane for allegedly sleeping with an unmarried lady. The young man was accused of fornication which the community said was against its practices.

There seems to be no report of any punishment being meted to the woman involved. Did she get away with it? In some other vicious communities, women get stoned or killed. If this community only deals with the men, then women are darn lucky.

The thought of it actually got me wondering...what if there was a law that required fornicating offenders to get flogged when caught in the act?

Then we'd probably see a lot of public beatings.

Some 'jealous' individuals might even turn it into a lynching episode and we'd have series of Aluu-like cases in our hands. Even the international community would descend heavily on the matter.

Professional fornicators would operate underground. All those meeting of boyfriends and girlfriends at street corners at night would have to be taken to more darker and hidden abodes because there would probably be night patrols seeking to catch secret fornicators.

Blackmail activities would trend as photos and videos of fornicating activities would become hot cake for hustling huge sums of money.

Suicide rate would skyrocket as many would find it hard to face the shame. At the same time many would proudly bear the scars of fornication, parading them as trophies of the conquests of their adventure.

It would probably even degenerate into something naughty ladies would admire in a guy; a case of 'show me your scars and I'll know what you're capable of - as though it were a resume outline.

People would start illegal businesses of offering their apartments at a fee for illegal fornicating activity while there's a lookout for security.

Professional 'floggers' who do the flogging would make money from a lot of bribes being offered to lessen intensity of flogging. Other officials involved would also get bribed often with cash. Those who preferred being bribed in 'kind' would sometimes end up being blackmailed for the same offence.

Aristos, sugar mummies and daddies, pimps and prostitutes would probably operate in abject secrecy. Parties and clubs would also make secret arrangements.

Politicians stand to suffer more scandals and blackmails.

Corrupted Pastors who 'accidentally' get involved in fornication will bear scars of shame and lose a lot of their congregation.

All manner of trials and hearings would flood courtrooms; lawyers would smile to the bank making money off randy individuals who can't do without illegal gallivanting with the opposite sex.

Some women would turn sex into a vicious weapon of destruction (if they don't face any serious punishment, that is), many men would be at their mercy.

The list of possibilities seems to never end. It looks like such law, rather than sort out the matter, would end up in chaos.
